Welcome to Virginia!
Virginia Bloggers Appreciate Y-O-U!!
Thanks to Andrea from Reading Towards the Stars for this super cute button! Thanks to Christin from Shifting Teacher K-2 for setting up this hop!
A lovely group of Virginia bloggers would like to show our appreciation of you by extending a bit of southern hospitality. You can follow along the blog hop to visit 15+ Virginia teacher blogs for terrific teaching tips and fun freebies to help get through the last couple of weeks before summer break.
One of my favorite addition activities is roll, add, color. This is a simple, low prep activity to pull out for the end of the year madness that the kids love (and get addition practice in the process)! Students work with a partner and take turns rolling 2 dice, adding the numbers, and coloring in the answer on their page. This is always a student favorite because they get to relax, play with a friend and choose how to color their board.
To show some Virginia hospitality here is a free summer roll, add, color. Nothing too fancy, but as the summer nears we're looking for easy and fun, right?
Our last day is June 13, so we're counting down the days until summer. Not too many more! We put up our "Sailing into Summer" countdown glyph this week. This was a really fun activity that my kids loved! Each day a sailboat comes down it means we're one day closer to summer...yahoo! You can read more about the glyph here or get your own copy here.
Thanks for stopping by...I hope the rest of your school year sails on quickly!
While you are visiting each blogger, please take a moment to leave a comment on the blog post and some feedback in their store about their freebie if applicable. We do appreciate you - but we also appreciate your feedback! It helps drive our post and product ideas.
The next stop on the hop is Shifting Teacher K-2. Head on over for some additional Virginia Hospitality!
